The deadline to purchase tickets for the annual Burns Supper hosted by Galashiels Burns Club has been extended until Monday at 3p.m. After that time, ticket requests cannot be accepted due to table plans being made up and meal orders booked. The Supper takes place Gala Rugby Club on Friday, January 24, with doors opening at 6p.m. and ticket holders asked to be seated by 6.45p.m. Former East Lothian MSP Iain Gray will deliver the "Immortal Memory" to be followed by rugby coach Bruce Aitchison proposing the Toast to the Lasses." Schoolteacher Roddy Graham will address the "Land of Cakes - Caledonia." David Sanderson will perform the recitations and the singers for the evening are Grant Lees and Sam Cleland.
