Wreath Ceremony

Prior to Friday's Supper, members of Galashiels Burns Club gathered
earlier in the day to commemorate the birthday
of our national bard.
After the town clock's chimes at 2p.m. and the playing of "Braw Braw
Lads", club president John Purves climbed the
ladder and placed a wreath on the statue which is situated at the foot
of Lawyer's Brae.
Club life member David Sanderson played a selection of tunes on the
bagpipes to honour the birthday of Robert Burns
in style including "Scots Whae Hae."
The club would like to thank Scottish Borders Council for playing "Braw
Braw Lads" on the town clock for this
ceremony.
